Resumo:The objective of this study was to indicate the appreciation of Afro-Brazilian culture in the didactic-pedagogical actions of a municipal public school called Prof. Hélio Frota Lima. This is an action that was carried out with students from Elementary School II and High School with 20 teachers and 300 students to create black arts cultural objects, the importance of dance in Brazilian cultural formation. To operationalize the research, there was a mobilization of teaching staff and students, in the production of materials that reflected positively on the importance of culture as an inseparable part of Brazilian cultural formation. The results were a sample of dances and art objects from black culture. Therefore, the exhibition of these objects was carried out, as well as the presentation in the form of dances. The results indicated that work from this perspective in the school environment contributes to ethnocultural strengthening in accordance with the legislation of the Education Guidelines and Bases Law (LDB).
