Summary:The destiny of the soul after death has always been, throughout the different moments of history, one of the great preoccupations of the human being, having influenced his thoughts, his actions, finally, being present in the minimum events of his daily life. The believers life is transformed when he thinks that not everything is lost with death and begins to work for his own salvation. However, even when the catholic authorities proposed the ideal of practicing a more dogmatic, ascetic religiosity, the difficulties of its realization were immense, for the imposition of rigorism always collided against the experience of ordinary men.
