| Sumario: | This paper aims to identify the performance of municipal secretaries from Mataraca-PB who do not have the appropriate academic training in Bilingual Executive Secretariat. We seek to understand the criteria for appointing these secretaries and to identify the difficulties encountered by them, through a survey among municipal secretaries. This research is justified by the social relevance of finding out if the professionals of Mataraca-PB have the proper training and education to perform the functions of a municipal Executive Secretary. The results indicate that, although these professionals are appointed to perform the functions assigned to an Executive Secretary, only one is attending the Executive Secretariat course. Most of them have academic backgrounds in other areas which do not correspond to their secretariats, and some of them attended only High School, which means that there are dozens of professionals occupying positions that should be taken by an Executive Secretary, by mere political indication or just by the free choice of the managers. |
