Resumo:This article reviews the methods and study books in the history of the flute, from the 18th to the 20th century. It is a journey through the evolution of the instrument and the concerns of the authors who have written for the didactic of it. In addition, it is complemented by information on its current use by Spanish music conservatories. Both the methods themselves, as well as the methodologies or ideas that instruct teachers and their choice of books for the class.
