Sumario:This article aims at presenting the main contents accessed by high school students via smartphones during lunch break. The references that support this study are Silva (2002), Santaella (2007; 2013), Lemke (2010), Menezes de Souza (2011) and Lankshear & Knobel (2016). This is a qualitative research, with the application of online questionnaires with students enrolled in the 1st year of technical courses integrated to High school, in 2019, at the Federal Institute of Sergipe, São Cristóvão campus. The results point out topics that arouse the interest of adolescents, presenting relevant information for discussion in the educational and other social spheres.
