| Resumo: | My focus in this article is on the relationship between clothes and the fable in the novels of the italian writer Natalia Ginzburg, following the theoretical approach of two Italian scholars, Paola Colaiacomo and Eugenia Paulicelli, who deal with the link between fashion and literature. The main idea which I considered to make the research is that the dress, even being “flattened” by the literary formula, retains a material dimension given by a certain figurativity. In the case of Natalia Ginzburg the figurative plane to which she refers is, on one side, the theather and, on the other, the photo album. Within these two figurative poles the different types of clothes I have analyzed move around. In the end, I think that the categories of different clothes are flexible in the novels and often contaminate each other. |
