Resumo:The bees of Meliponina, also known as Indian s bees without sting, are in various tropical regions. They execute functions, like: polinization of fanerogams, production of honey, wax and propolis and the collection of pollen. Moreover, they contribute for the Biology s applications, especially in Genetic and Evolution and they also can be utilized as didactic material, because they don t have sting and they are a good example of social organization. Among all these functions, the production of honey and the utilization of honey, pollen and propolis as medicinal products are the most interesting for the population. It s necessary that the products have good quality. As, for example, present a count of microorganisms that it don t represent a risk for human healthy. In this work, we evaluated the quantity and the identification of microorganisms present in honey, propolis, pollen, larval food and wax in hives of Melipona scutellaris and Tetragona clavipes.
