Descrição
Resumo:The theme of creative thinking/creativity in mathematics has received attention from researchers and institutions linked to the field of education, being recognized as relevant to the learning processes and full development of students. With this thematic issue, we seek to give visibility to academic production in this area, which is consolidating itself as a field of research in Brazil. The thematic issue consists of 21 articles that focused on one of three categories: (a) theoretical essays or historical-philosophical studies, which sought to reflect on the definitions and developments of the construct in question; (b) empirical or field research involving the training of teachers who teach mathematics (both in the context of initial training and continuing training); and (c) empirical or field research involving the classroom context, with emphasis on student action.
