Resumo:This paper analyses the applicability on Brazilian multinational Companies (MNCs) in twotypologies developed to explain the internationalization of emerging market’s enterprises.Using Fundação Dom Cabral 2011 data about companies with the higher transnationalityindex, information was gathered though documental research. This article builds a systematicclassification on Brazilian MNCs upon the springboard perspective and the genericinternationalization strategies. Results show that the “world-stage aspirant” group prevailedon the Springboard typology. Concerning the generic internationalization strategy, the samplewas distributed among all strategies.
