| Resumo: | This study aims to investigate the inclusion of a new expressive form within online journalism through internet memes. The research begins with Bakhtin’s seminal work (2016) on the genres of discourse. The theoretical framework is based on a reflection on the author’s thought and a dialogue about journalistic production processes, from the genre perspective present in José Marques de Melo’s work (2020). The methodology adopted is based on the construction of qualitative research, including the stages of literature review and the development of a descriptive case study and visual analysis in two relevant online newspapers in Brazil: Estadão and G1. The goal is to understand the foundation of a new genre or simply the presentation of a new narrative format. |
