Resumo:This project proposes the musical re-elaboration, for 10-string mandolin, of three songs from the recording Choro Ímpar (2007), by the composer Maurício Carrilho. For this, we will identify mandolin techniques, ornaments and articulations traditionally used in choro and, through analysis of idiomatic elements of wind instruments (transverse flute, alto saxophone and clarinet) transcribed from discs selected for this work, techniques used to furnish issues in 10 strings mandolin were suggested, taking into account the interpretive characteristics of the instrument in choro, of the instrumentalist and of the composer, and the natural relationship of incorporating idiomatic elements from different methods in the practice of choro wheels and in the story itself, make style. The importance of the disc, both because of its peculiarity that it contains only odd- meter compositions as the way the songs are elaborated within this language, will be evidenced, as well as the importance of the composer Maurício Carrilho in brazilian music. The project also aims to investigate the motivation and contextualization of the album Choro Ímpar in the universe of choro, to establish its relationship with the creative and adaptive practices of the musical re-elaboration process.
