| Resumo: | Based on Joanna Overing´s concept of “aesthetics of production” (1991), which is the framework for a set of researches whose central analysis of the social indian Amazon brings to the fore the notions of “conviviality and daily life” (OVERING & PASSES, 2000), this paper intends to discuss the dimensions of “beauty” in the Mbya (Guarani) experience. It aims, on one hand, at approaching the multiple aspects of “doing beautifully” vesus “doing well” (-japo porã), which guides human behavior, and, on the other hand, thinking about the making and experience of “good/beautiful” in the context of music and ritual dancing. |
