Sumario:The aim of this work using temporal images and profiles of beach line, is to show the effects of port buildings in sediment transport around the port of Pecém and coastal portion of the village of Pecém. The construction of the port, with an offshore portion, connected to the mainland by leaked structure, allows the transport of sediments. Through the analysis of satellite images and by constant monitoring carried out through beach profiles, it was realized that the beach village of Pecem situation is under the current influence of sediment supply. We can conclude by the end of the work that the port Terminal was a work that aided in the advancement of the beach line, promoting an indentation of the sea, threatening waves in size and intensity. This effect created a protection for the town, confirmed by the Group of the Japan International Cooperation Agency that found over the past 30 years a retreat of about 60 m, in the stretch between the tip of Pecém and Vila do Pecém. This means a decline of approximately 2 m per year. The monitoring continues and the village currently is protected ancient erosion processes that suffered. So the environmental impact of the port, its structures in the village is positive.
