| Sumario: | Happiness at work has been linked to positive outcomes associated with mental health and productivity. Studies on the subject are still expanding. However, they need more confluence and agreement. In this research, we explore the perceptions about experiences of happiness in the work of public servants of a public higher education institution. The qualitative research used the semi-structured interview that was applied to twelve servers. Data analysis was performed using Iramuteq Software, through Descending Hierarchical Classification and Correspondence Factor Analysis. The results identified that the participants perceived happiness at work through four main pillars: physical and safety conditions in the work environment, interpersonal relationships at work, relevance attributed to the nature of work, and professional identity. It was concluded that the meanings given to work by those who perform it are decisive for the development of recurring feelings of happiness at work. |
