Description
Summary:This article explores Francisco's journey, a Black, bisexual, and cisgender man, in academia, highlighting the challenges of university life through the subjectification processes of the historical device. Francisco shares his experiences in the History course, revealing the lack of representation, superficiality in Afro-Brazilian approaches, and emotional dilemmas faced. The research adopts a methodology mapping the influences of the historical device on dissident subjects, using Foucault and Carneiro's genealogy, Delgado's Oral History, and Silva's Psycho-History. These approaches aim to understand how historical narratives contribute to epistemicide and impact the formation of individual and collective identities. Psychoanalytic analysis complements the understanding of social formation processes. The article seeks to contribute to a reflection on the need to reform academic and historical structures, ensuring the inclusion of all voices in the historical narrative.
