| Sumario: | The pluralistic context concerns organizations where there is strong pressure from stakeholders and regulators, whose internal distribution of power is diffused and where the work process is strongly based on specialized knowledge. Researchers have aimed to better understand the strategic challenges in these organizations for the great difficulty in coordinating and engaging in the pursuit of collective results. Some studies highlight the impact of practices led by HR management and the role of leaders as cohesion agents in order to overcome such difficulties. The research described in this article aimed to investigate the effect of management training for leaders of a pluralistic organization, the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), promoted by the HR Management area with a view to better strategic alignment of the institution. The finds analysis, based on the practice perspective, allowed us to identify at least four main aspects where the training contributed to the adoption of practices that can increase strategic alignment: systemic vision, planning and control, leadership and sensemaking |
