Resumo:The spinal cord injury carts tragic consequences to the people's life. The sexuality is constituted as one of the important aspects of the suffered losses and it becomes important in the adjustment process to the new condition. Between the women, the subject assumes a significant dimension in reason that the reproductive capacity, however the women that don't possess partners stays they live a private problem due to your physical conditions and of the social image about body of the feminine. It is qualitative study gone back to the understanding of the among body and sexuality in women that are bearers of spinal cord injury, in paraplegia condition and tetraplegia. It is explored the perception and the acceptance of the new life condition, in the which they were show the process of acceptance of the deficiency and the existence of the sexuality. The women raised the difficulties of reconstruction of the social and affective-sexual life after the lesion, the need of reconstruction of the corporal image and of themselves, as well as the incorporation of new senses to the sexuality and your erotic practices, reinventing the tradition of the social papers.
