Sumario:The present study aims to test evidence of construct validity for the Family Support Perception Inventory for Elderly (IPSF-ID) using confirmatory factor analysis, TRI (partial credits model) and the MIMIC method. The robust analysis strategies used, recommended to maintain the final version of the instrument with 37 items. It is concluded that the instrument evaluated in this study presents adequate construct validity to be applied in the elderly.
