Descrição
Resumo:The objective of this study is to identify the influence of fluctuations in inflation expectations on the inflation targeting regime (ITR), in particular on the Extended Consumer Price Index (IPCA). This way, it was possible to observe that inflation expectations have a positive impact on Brazilian inflation since the first month. Beyond this, the formation of the future expectation of inflation is therefore influenced by a set of variables that impact inflation in different ways, both in magnitude and in duration.
