| Resumo: | Digital technologies have transformed the organization of material culture production within the domestic space. In the case of the home-based garment making in Brazil, this transformation takes place in a context marked by the prevalence of female, individualized, informal work and with limited conditions of access, use and adaptation of technologies. This article proposes a model for the study of the relationships that sewists establish with digital technologies. The model is being developed within the framework of a doctoral research that studies the appropriation of open source software for garment pattern-making in domestic space. The construction of the model its made through the dialogue between different theoretical approaches, the home sewing history in Latin America and the recursive interaction with the social field. The model has guided the construction of data collection instruments and the analysis of the technological appropriation process. |
