Descripción
Sumario:With thematic chapters and case studies, this book addresses the issue of housing in risk areas from different perspectives, including the controversy over risk definitions and their application to environmental disasters, the perverse dynamics of the expansion of the municipality of São Paulo and the contrast between the right to housing and the preservation of water sources. The more theoretical themes receive a special color through case studies, in which actants, human and non-human (such as streams, landslides and works), take priority. Although anchored in a psychosocial constructionist approach, the book is transdisciplinary and encourages dialogue between researchers, activists and citizens from different theoretical and political backgrounds.
