| Summary: | This Dissertation work had as object of research 19 songs by the Bahian composer Babi de Oliveira (1908-1993) premiered by the Bass soloist Tarquínio Lopes (s.d.) in the 1950s. The methodology used consisted of access to the Acervo de Partituras Hermelindo Castelo Branco - APHECAB, study and performance of the selected titles, analysis of the songs from the parameters of Jan LaRue (1992) and our pratical edition of the material according to Figueiredo (2017). In this way, our goal is to provide greater visibility to the national songbook focused on male bass voices and consequent valorization of this repertoire. As a result, we made available an Album of scores with the 19 songs – the first in Brazil dedicated to the aforementioned vocal classifications. |
