| Sumario: | In this work, we intend to analyze the perceptions about the academic summary genre by students and professors of an undergraduate course in Geography. We also verified the rhetorical structure of abstracts produced by these students with the hypermedia software AutorIA support. We have done practical, qualitative, and exploratory studies (PAIVA, 2019). We used as a theoretical-methodological reference the New Literacy Studies (STREET, 1984, 2003; LEA; STREET, 1998; LILLIS; SCOTT, 2007), from the didactic side the Sociodiscursive Interactionism (SCHNEUWLY; DOLZ, 2004) and the Create a Research Space - CARS model (SWALES, 1990). We extracted the data from the analysis of responses to forms sent to students and Professors in the specific area of the Course. Soon after, we began to analyze the rhetorical structure constructed by students in the summaries, using the CARS model as a basis. The analyzes revealed discrepancies and congruences in the perceptions of professors and students regarding the writing of abstracts. While students emphasized theoretical aspects of the original text, professors highlighted methodological aspects. We understand, therefore, that the results described here can enrich the data set on the topic |
