Far from moving away from the realm of biographies that many historians distrust, suspect and avoid, Dosse has become a master of the genre, including theoretical and methodological reflections on this enterprise.Pretendo, neste texto, refletir sobre como a biografia de Dosse sobre Paul Ricoeur lida com problemas levantados pelo próprio Ricoeur como o de identidade narrativa, mesmidade e ipseidade, bem como tratamento do conceito de história de vida por Tengely. Também, claro, pretendo apresentar e recomendar a obra. Dosse dispensa apresentações no Brasil. Especialista em história intelectual e biografias,tem vários livros traduzidos para o português e colabora em revistas, instituições e universidades do Atlântico.
