Descrição
Resumo:Logos II was a project that aimed to prepare high schoolers to become elementary teachers between the years 1970s and 1990s. The Logos II Project was characterized by the use of a modular system in which allowed students to establish their own learning pace through activity plans. The Logos II was implemented in several in several states being Rondonia one of them. This article is guided by the following question: How did the Logo II teacher training project took place in Rondônia? It was used reports from Alto Madeira newspaper, Veja Magazine, reports from MEC (e.g., “Experience: Personalized teaching in the Logos Project”), the Logos II Project Implementation Project, CETEB Reports, as well as legislation (opinions, ordinances, decrees, etc.). As a theoretical-methodological framework, it was used the Ginzburg Index (1989) and Mathison’s triangulation of data (1988). The results show that the Logos II Project was implemented in Rondônia during difficult times when the state faced a teacher shortage due to immigration. As a result, the Logo II Project became an important practice in teachers’ training in the state of Rondônia, through distance learning and via a modular system.
