Descrição
Resumo:The objective was to describe the clinical profile of diabetic and/or hypertensive patients assisted by the Family Health Strategy (ESF) team in the rural area of the municipality of Imaculada-PB. This is a documental, descriptive, quantitative study. Data were obtained and located through the Citizen's Electronic Record (PEC). The findings showed that there was a predominance of assistance to female users, with different ages and most of these assistances were carried out in the Basic Health Unit. Furthermore, they show that the population of diabetics and hypertensives registered at the UBS in this study, for the most part, have uncomplicated hypertension and non-insulin-dependent diabetes. Therefore, it is imperative to know the characteristics of hypertensive and/or diabetic patients and to implement a dedicated approach that emphasizes primary and secondary preventive practices and sustained control of multiple risk factors in patients with hypertension and diabetes.
