| Sumario: | This research seeks to investigate the context in which violence against women occurs (whether social or economic / patrimonial), as it can influence both the construction of violence and its permanence. Thus, through police inquiries from the Specialized Delegacy for Women Assistance (DEAM), in the municipality of Itabaiana-Sergipe, data were extracted through graphs that sought to guide some intrinsic points to the understanding of the subject, see the outline of the victim's profile. Thus, through the extracted results, it is verified that the itabaianense women statistically suffer more violence from the partners that live with you, in the same way that they have some predominant characteristics, that is: age range from 34 to 43 years old; cohabiting marital status; holds any economic and/or equity support; have at least one child, as well as incomplete first or completed high school. Therefore, the analysis of the aspects was crucial to understand the reality of disarticulation and ineffectiveness of some social institutions supporting women victims of violence ”“ either by the historical context that the theme brings up or by other preponderant factors. |
