| Resumo: | After the publication of the English version of the book Pedagogy of the Oppressed, the Freirean method began to influence Steve Biko and other militants of the Black Consciousness movement in South Africa. Both Freire and Biko establish a direct association between their philosophical reflections and their political and educational practices.
