| Sumario: | This paper aims to identify - based on bibliography research, internet articles and reports - how actions and behaviors of the soccer world structurally resemble the ecclesial religious experience actions and behaviors. To do that, there is a necessity to identify the religious experience not only as a strict experience related to divinities, but also related to an experience that goes beyond all human expectation towards life and its events. Previously, it was concluded that although the human behavior related to soccer are not dependent on ecclesiastic dogmas, it demonstrates - in its practice - aspects that are found in a variety of formal religious experiences of churches. The singing, the stepping into the "temple", the faith and hope in the victory, as well as the mourning because of defeat are examples of this. To lose and to win are part of life and of the game. To break the physical limits for the hope and faith in the victory is essentially human and essentially religious. |
