description The dissertation analyzed the experience of technical and administrative workers from their own memories and how they interpret the changes in social relations of work and life with the joining the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU) in the period of 1978-1990. The period of analysis meant a trajectory of transformations in labor relations in the analyzed context. In the course of the chapters produced in order to expose the reflections of the developed research, this dissertation sought to reflect on what changed in the understanding of the lived experience of workers and workes in front of the past-present perspective in the ways of living and working, as well as what are the daily issues faced by these workers, beside the demands for better working conditions to understand the conceptions of this historical-social relationship of life. They are workers of the asset framework who bring different perspectives on the meaning of the contradictions and disputes that occurred by the organization of labor relations in UFU. For this study, the oral source procedure was used to analyze two groups of workers who lived through this process of transition, being five interviews that were performed for this research and five interviewees of the "Projeto Memória" (1986-2001) collection of the Union- (SINTET-UFU). This way, written sources brought as support of the memories, editions of the newspaper "ligeirinho", magazine among others that from the questions that arose in the course of the research new sources were worked and analyzed. The dissertation brings reflection as the memories and social experiences of technical and administrative workers (a) s in order to verify as constituted as subjects in this historical trajectory.

O período de análise significou uma trajetória de transformações nas relações de trabalho no contexto analisado. No decorrer dos capítulos produzidos a fim de expor as reflexões de pesquisa desenvolvida, nesta dissertação buscou-se refletir sobre o que mudou na compreensão da experiência vivida de trabalhadores e trabalhadoras frente à perspectiva do passado-presente nos modos de viver e trabalhar, bem como quais são as questões cotidiana enfrentadas por estes/as trabalhadores/as, além das reivindicações por melhores condições de trabalho para compreensão das concepções dessa relação histórico-social de vida. São trabalhadore(a)s do quadro de ativos/as que trazem perspectivas diversas sobre o significado das contradições e disputas que ocorreram pela organização das relações de trabalho na UFU. Para este estudo, utilizou-se o procedimento de fonte oral com intuito de analisar dois grupos de trabalhadores que viveram esse processo de transição, sendo cinco entrevistas realizadas para esta pesquisa e cinco entrevistados do acervo do “Projeto Memória”(1986-2001) do Sindicato-(SINTET-UFU). Com isso, foram analisadas fontes escritas trazidas como suporte das memórias, edições do jornal “ligeirinho”, revista entre outras que a partir das questões que foram surgindo no decorrer da pesquisa novas fontes foram trabalhadas.
