| Sumario: | Musical practices produce diversified information resources that form collections of cultural value, becoming interest by professionals and researchers, including archivists. This communication is aimed to demonstrate the scientific productions about musical collections in the literature of Information Science, focusing on the productions of Archival Science, evidencing conceptual and practical aspects approached in these studies. It is a descriptive research, whose bibliographic survey aimed to recover scientific productions available at the Base de Dados Referencial de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI). Also, in publications of the Reunião Brasileira de Ensino e Pesquisa em Arquivologia (Reparq), in publications available at the Catalogue of thesis and dissertations of the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), as well as in undergraduate dissertations of the Archival Science course. The results show that the identified scientific productions discuss about the practices of production, organization, representation, classification, automation, circulation, preservation, access, recuperation and use of information and/ or musical document, as well as they were recuperated scientific productions that evidence traces of memory and identity registered in musical documents. It is concluded that, despite of the theme has interest by researchers of the area of Archival Science, it is still needed that the archivist appropriate himself of his competences and skills and, conscious of his labor practice, exerting it in a reflexive and critical way, in order to contribute in the process of mediation of musical information. |
