In conclusion, looking at violent practices often endorsed by some social sectors, the article discusses the marks left on social arrangements by the culture of emptiness and indifference in contemporary society.O artigo discute os mecanismos de punição que a sociedade cria e utiliza, orientados por um sentimento de justiça com as próprias mãos quando se depara com situações de violência, transformados em verdadeiros espetáculos. O que nos coloca diante das limitações dos dispositivos de segurança e justiça em manter sob controle os índices de criminalidade e as múltiplas violências manifestadas nos espaços públicos das cidades. Faz-se ainda algumas observações sobre a violência na hierarquia da programação dos meios de comunicação, de maneira especifica, na mídia televisiva.
