| Resumo: | This work is part of an ongoing master's degree research developed within the scope of the Graduate Program in Education: Knowledge and Social Inclusion of the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. We are currently working on analyzing the collected survey data. The research was developed in the popular Emancipa Floresta course, located in Belo Horizonte -MG, which is part of the Rede Emancipa: Social Movement of Popular Education. The Rede Emancipa fights for the democratization of access to the University, organizing popular pre-university courses in several states of Brazil, with the objective of achieving a quality, critical and free education. For this work, we used bibliographic research and document analysis of the Rede Emancipa and also the Emancipa Floresta nucleus. The initial results show that Emancipa Floresta is an important instrument in the fight for the democratization of access to higher education and an alternative for youth who dream of accessing the University. As exposed, it is possible to conclude that both the Rede Emancipa and the Emancipa Floresta nucleus act based on the perspective of quality and critical education as a social right. |
