Sumario:Objective: To comprehensively understand the incidence of Chronic Kidney Disease in elderly people, seeking to identify the extent and patterns of this condition in this population affected by it. Methodo: This study was carried out through descriptive exploratory research, with field research carried out with a mixed approach.  Results: Data were collected from 10 participants, 66.67% men and 33.33% women. Regarding the level of education, 66.7% have completed secondary education and 33.3% have incomplete primary education. The age range varies from 64 to 72 years old, and 66.7% of participants live alone, with a family income between 1 and 2 minimum wages. All reported physical and social inactivity due to treatment. The perception of mental health is negative, with feelings of anxiety and sadness, and sexual life was impacted by the loss of desire. Despite following a prescribed diet, they face difficulties in adapting. The causes of Chronic Kidney Disease include hypertension and diabetes. Conclusion: The multifaceted challenges faced by hemodialysis patients stand out, such as socioeconomic difficulties, social isolation and physical and emotional symptoms. The lack of physical and social activities emphasizes the need for holistic care.
