| Resumo: | The hospitality is an intrinsic trait of humanity and several conceptualizations and approaches express its broad nature, complex, sometimes ambiguous and paradoxical. Recent researches about the level of satisfaction of tourists that visit Belo Horizonte city highlight the mineira hospitality positively. Thus, the question is: What is the meaning of Minas Gerais hospitality for tourists visiting Belo Horizonte? The objectives were: To research the meaning of hospitality for tourists; identify which trait symbolize the Minas Gerais hospitality; to compare these traits with the social-historical construction of the affirmative. The study approach was quantitative, through bibliographic and field research. The data collection instrument was questionnaire Survey. The analysis was performed by way of Microsoft Excel, and the qualitative analysis software NVivo. The results show that the perception of mineira hospitality for tourists is associated with cultural characteristics, to the welcoming act, to welcome, to the mineira cuisine and the integration of tourists into the visited environment, which is similar to the social and historical construction. |
