| Sumario: | This survey attempted to find out whether or not the management styles adopted by schools can be associated with teacher stress. The study considered 175 teachers working with 1st‑to 4th grades in twelve public schools. The instruments first identified the leadership style predominant in the schools, then sought to identify the presence of stress in the teachers. Although stress was present in the majority of the teachers, an association with specific management styles could not be confirmed. This can be linked to the fact that the stress was already present in the teachers and did not allow the identification of additional influence by the schools’ leadership style |
