Description
Summary:This dissertation performs an investigative and analytical study on the poetis of the author Manoel de Oliveira Pereira, more popularly known as Canelinha, in his work A Dream of a repentista : verses of Canelinha logogriphict, published in 2010 by Federal University of Uberlândia editor (EDUFU). The book is a collection of 75 selected poems arranged by Elzimar Fernanda Nunes Ribeiro and Enivalda Nunes Freitas e Souza, both professors of the Institute of Literature and Linguistics at the Federal University of Uberlândia. The Work of the poet Canelinha develops around all the magical and playful universe that permeates the Brazilian popular literature. Canelinha was a genuine artist from the backwoods of Paraíba, a state in the northeast of Brazil. He died in 2011 at age 89. The prestige achieved by the poet through his discovery by the media gave him the realization of his biggest dream: the publication of his book. The wait was long, however, when he was 87, he saw his dream turns real. Canelinha defined himselff as a logogriphic poet and makes sure to explain: \"logogryphy is something hard, complex, it doesn t can not be understood easily.\" The focus of this research is on the analysis of the above mentioned work. After situating the poet in his historical context, we contemplate the ways and technical procedures of folk poetry, such as meter and rhythm. In the same way, will be appreciated the themes of memory, the nature, the sacred, which are recurrent in his poetry, including cultural elements. Some more recurrent thematic groups will be investigated in his writing, such as shapes and technical procedures of popular poetry, as well as analyzing the cultural elements in poetry´s life, a legitimate northeastern singer. We Also show a facet of the artist Canelinha because with genuine sensitivity of a poet, he is able to create, from the most unlikely object, a stone, inexhaustible images, symbolic forms of hybrid beings, fusing man and beast; all represented by drawings that show the same contour stone. This study is the theoretical basis research of Antonio Candido, Luiz da Camara Cascudo, Carl Gustav Jung, Mircea Eliade, Gaston Bachelard, Gilbert Durand, Paul Zumthor and some cordelistas poets from the Northeast.
