| Resumo: | The text addresses the formulation and implementation of the 2030 Agenda from a critical racialized perspective in the analysis of the SDGs. Since the SDGs were built on a Western practical and intellectual basis, they constitute a language for international politics for the perpetuation of ethnic-racial inequalities that has many difficulties in promoting transformations in countries of the Global South. The text is based on a critical discourse analysis, evaluating the main official documents of the 2030 Agenda, as well as a set of literature on racial themes. It is argued that the lack of racial representation in the 2030 Agenda limits its potential and generates dissonances in its effectiveness as a global agenda, illustrating the role of the Ubuntu philosophy as an alternative racialized perspective. The study concludes that the effectiveness of the 2030 Agenda depends on the incorporation of non-Western perspectives, especially with regard to ethnic-racial issues, and advocates a more critical and inclusive approach to promote a more effective implementation of the SDGs. |
