| Resumo: | In this article, we aim to understand the territory of prostitution of travestis in the neighborhood of Glória from different perspectives, pointing out that a space despised by a portion of society can be considered as a space beyond a “battle zone”, that is, as a oportunity for exchanges and socializing between bodies considered abject. Through the discourse analysis methodology, we observe that for travestis, the territory is essentially a space that enables the self-defense, their identity construction, their [re] existence and their resistance to the doors that close during the day. This territory controlled by them at night also depends on the existence of another social actor - the t-lovers, a group directly involved in the commerce of the body and that not only pays for sex, but for the silence that hides their identity. With the growth of violence and the feeling of fear in the city, many t-lovers begin to see the risks of the prostitution territories and begin to transpose them into the cyberterritory. Thus, elucidating the power relations in the territory of prostitution in the neighborhood of Glória and in cyberterritory is an important mechanism for understanding the new configurations among travestis and t-lovers in the territories of prostitution. |
