Resumo:This investigation aims to analyze the challenges of contemporary art’s musealization, taking as basis the musealization process of 1981 São Paulo’s XVI biennial entitle “Coleção de Arte Postal”, safeguard’s today at “Centro Cultural São Paulo”, named “Coleção de Arte da Cidade”. For that, it is discussed the questionable insertion of contemporary poetry in museological practices scope, once it is based on artistic’s object materiality through valorization and permanence. Furthermore, it will be explained about postal art and their processual features, as well as their conceptual propositions peculiarities that narrow the barriers between art and life. To conclude, this paper proposes a dialogue between museology and contemporary art, pointing recurrent dissonances in musealization process of ephemeral and transitory works that put in doubt the preservationist myth of museal structures in relation to present’s fugacity
