| Resumo: | Adorno has addressed moral philosophical issues in several moments of his philosophical career, particularly Minima Moralia (1951), Negative Dialectics (1966) and in his (posthumously published) university course Problems of Moral Philosophy (1996). This article assumes that a combined account of these texts can indicate the importance of what Adorno has called “dialectics of morality” between somaticimpulse and reason as the foundation of the experience of practical sphere. Furthermore, Adorno’s thoughts on morality are a privileged moment of his metaphilosophical analysis which identifies in the majority of western tradition of moral philosophy the sign of a wider process of domination of inner nature. According to Adorno, a major task of the material dialectic of morality should be to disclose and contribute to change this domination process. |
