Resumo:Freedom of expression is a fundamental factor in the Democratic State of Law, as it allows all layers of society to express their desires and thoughts, however, it cannot be unlimited, as just like Freedom of Expression, other constitutional principles must be guaranteed . In this way, there is a limit established in cases of conflicts between fundamental rights, so that both are guaranteed. From this context, this research deals with the limits of freedom of expression to avoid and stop Fake News. How to deal with the spread of Fake News on social media platforms and at the same time respect the limits of freedom of expression, ensuring ethical responsibility in online speech. We will cover a case study that took place in the city of Capim Grosso where we will portray Fake News and its implications.
