| Resumo: | The purpose of this article is to debate the social security counter-reforms and their impact on the protection of work and on the health of workers, prioritizing the analysis referring to the period between 2016 and 2019, which presents a scenario of deepening the structural crisis of capital and of the fiscal austerity project, mainly with the approval of constitutional amendment no. 95/2016, which reduces the state's primary spending for twenty years. During this period, provisional measures are established, later converted into law, which has as one of the most relevant changes the revision of social security benefits due to disability (sickness benefit and disability retirement). Such measures are called "fine-tooth comb" of the INSS and drastically reduce the disability benefits maintained by the municipality, regardless of whether they were granted through administrative or judicial channels. With a qualitative approach, the analysis used documentary research, with public domain documents and information from the INSS database being selected. |
