Descrição
Resumo:This study reports and reflects experiences developed during the teaching career in a municipal school in the rural environment, in the city of Jaraguá, in the north of the State of Goiás. Since school dropout is a serious problem faced by the school unit, this research aimed to make students understand the importance and role of school in their lives, even if they chose to live in the countryside, thus reducing rural school dropout. . For this, we opted for a field research, of participatory action, whose theoretical reference was based on scholars in the field of Education, such as Morin (2000) and Libâneo (2001). It was understood that, when the teacher considers the student's reality as part of the teaching and learning process and this is stimulated, it is possible to make the student's presence at school meaningful.
