Descripción
Sumario:In this paper we describe excerpts of the actions taken in the academic field, namely: bibliographic research, dialogical interactions, didactic workshop, manipulation of free Braille accessibility softwares, writing of course conclusion paper and article of scientific dissemination. Through an exploratory research of qualitative nature, such actions were guided by the purpose of compiling, briefly, relevant aspects for an initial understanding of visual impairment (causes, degrees, statistical percentages among the Brazilian population, emergence of braille writing and its resources), in order to build a fast access for the public to be interested. Through this compilation it is expected to emphasize the importance of the availability of free softwares (specifically Brailendo and Braille Fácil) and to disseminate their functionalities and potentialities as facilitators of the teaching praxis by subsidizing the work of the teacher with Braille in an accessible way and practice.
