Sumario:A constant presence in the current political debate, religion has acted as an important catalyst to support conservative political and sociocultural agendas in contemporary Brazil. Such fact gained notoriety from the 2018 elections with the approach of far-right political leaders to religious groups and leaderships, especially those linked to Pentecostalism. However, do the significant contingents of members of Pentecostal churches agree with the positions adopted by their leaders? In this article we propose to answer this question. To do so, we used a survey questionnaire with members of Pentecostal churches in the state of Rondônia. Through it, we realized how diverse the Pentecostal movement is in terms of the multiplicity of denominations and the diversity of opinions. This article is a contribution to the social sciences because it allows a greater amplitude for the sociological comprehension of a religious movement that is present and active in the contemporary reality.
