| Summary: | The objective of this research was to analyze the aspirations and meanings from the perspective of support institutions of self-management practices developed by Solidarity Economic Enterprises (SEE) in the city of João Pessoa, Paraíba. Methodologically, this work consisted of qualitative research. This work analyzed a social unit comprising five institutions that support SEE, represented by their managers, while their practices were the object of study. Data were collected through individual semi-structured interviews. Regarding data processing strategies, we used the Discourse Analysis technique. It was possible to affirm that self-management promotes the learning of emancipatory knowledge, which contributes to and makes it possible for the individual to act consciously towards engaging in the struggle for transformations of the perverse and unfair conditions that deny human dignity. In short, this allowed us to conclude that, for this specific study, the aspirations and meanings of the self-management practices of SEE, from the perspective of support institutions, help promote autonomy and collective freedom. |
