Resumo:This paper presents and discusses the memories of two sons of Saluzinho, a peasant who resisted the attempt to evict him from the lands where he lived as a squatter in Serra Azul, municipality of Varzelândia, located in the north of Minas Gerais, in 1967. Saluzinho was arrested and later sent to the DOPS/MG in Belo Horizonte. His wife Durce was brutally tortured by the police at the time and died as a result of the after-effects caused by this violence. So, these are the traumatic memories of the two children of this peasant couple who suffered from the repression of the dictatorial State and who were interviewed using the methodology of Oral History (Portelli, 2010; Amado, Ferreira, 2000), which will be addressed and analyzed here.
