| Sumario: | This article aims to present the analysis of a disciplinary process brought against the public primary teacher Francisco Marques da Trindade, in Pernambuco, in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. To do this, it was necessary to understand his career, his social networks and the sequence of events that followed the denunciation made by Captain Severino de Farias Albuquerque, the father of one of the teacher’s students. From a micro-historical perspective, using the method of the Indicative Paradigm (GINZBURG) and the analysis of discourse (FOUCAULT, 1971; 1986), the handwritten documents found in the codices of Public Instruction in the Public Archive Jordão Emereciano, in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, from 1889 to 1908, together with the Regulations of Public Instruction of 1888 and 1889, were analyzed. From the presented and analyzed case, it was understood that the teachers’ practices could be diverse and marked according to personal and or collective interests, as well as to the normative impositions established for the public primary teaching in Pernambuco. |
