The second part of this article is dedicated to discuss the range of Dennett's analogy between texts and artifacts in order to suggest, finally, some alternative ideas about attribution and interpretation of functions. El presente artículo aborda la problemática de la interpretación de artefactos técnicos en la perspectiva de Daniel Dennett. En primer lugar se intenta una reconstrucción crítica de la posición dennettiana en torno a las atribuciones funcionales analizando su énfasis en la dimensión constructiva del intérprete y, por otro lado, se focaliza su desestimación de la condiciones previas a la interpretación de textos y artefactos. La segunda parte de este trabajo se dedica a discutir los alcances de la analogía entre textos y artefactos (instancias que Dennett parecería considerar de manera indistinta) para, finalmente, sugerir una serie de ideas alternativas acerca de la atribución y la interpretación de funciones.
